Ordered a long black to go. I was charged $4.50, the price of their cappas and flat whites. It took about 15 minutes, then I got it and walked to my office. Long blacks are just hot water and espresso – so it usually takes another 15 mins before I can drink it. So when I do take a sip when I get back to work, it’s a crap flat white, not just a flat white, but a crap flat white. So I walk all the way back and ask them what a long black is, they tell me, so I tell them to make it and show them what I received. The girl giggles and says “You got a flat white!”, without offering apology or anything – she just laughs at me.
So I am waiting for them to remake it and I ask if they always charge $4.50 for a long black to go, they say yes and I tell them they’re the most expensive in the city. She has the gall to tell me “Probably the best in the city too!”… really? after sh*tty coffee, sh*tty service, sh*tty prices, YOU are the best in the city?
Me thinks not. If Zoo keepers wasn’t shut this never would have happened.Comment from nathaniel b. of Tuatara Cafe 10/02/2012I have repeatedly beat the staff over and over and they know not… More »

Comment from nathaniel b. of Tuatara Cafe 10/02/2012Yes it wasn’t the best blue cod but we have learnt from this and… More »

My partner and I had a Saturday morning breakfast at the Tuatara a few weeks ago. The service was very good, the food was lovely, well cooked, hot and served in good time. Would definately go back.
