We had a late breakfast there.
My partner had eggs Benedict, he said it was not the best but not the worst. The coffee was coffee.

I had French toast, it was nice but I hate when they leave the skin on the banana. It’s dirty, it means the banana is not cooked as well and it is generally a pain removing and then having banana skins lying on your plate. This is not their fault but the bottle of Charlie’s juice was crap, must have been a bad batch or something. Not their fault but yeah.

It is a really beautiful little spot.

The Swanson Train Station Cafe is one of the best in the area. Great food, service with a smile and fresh ingredients make it oneb of my favorite cafes in Auckland. It got a great laid back vibe and a very unique setting. My wife and I are foodies and eat out a lot. We go to the Swanson Train Station cafe at least once a week for breakfast and they deliver every time. Their Vege Big Breakfast is delicious. When friends and family come to visit, we take them there and they love it too.

Went there with friends from out of town the day after our engagement party. Had driven past this place many times and decided it looked like a good option.
In short the food was bland, no flavour at all. A few of us had the Big Breakfast, boring!!! I would have done a better job at home. Our guest were equally disappointed too. I agree totally with the previous review. We discussed complaining about the food but decided against it as we were all a bit too angry to complain politely. Never going here again!

We went to the cafe for lunch today. The first impression was good and staff was polite.

We order blueberry smoothies, big breakfast and vegetarian pasta. When the food arrived, it was very disappointing. The blueberry smoothies hardly has any blueberry in, merely can taste the blueberry faintly.

The vegetarian pasta was a huge disappointment. It tasted strange, the creamy tomato sauce was split and sickening, It comes with undercook kumara and few pathetic pieces of zucchini. I have never eaten a “kumara pasta” before, it was the worst so called vegetarian pasta I’ve ever tasted. My husband’s big breakfast was inferior quality in every way, cheap sausages, undercook harsh brown, super fat bacon, overcooked eggs.

When the waitress approached us and asked if everything is okay, we comment politely on the food. She just walked away disdainfully with no signs of apologies. We will never go back there again. The food was poor and of cheap quality.
