Overview

Sausalito is the ever-popular cafe located right beside the beloved Bridgeway Cinema in Northcote Point. Nestled within this quaint & historic suburb just across the Harbour Bridge, owner Dennis Wiley found the setting reminiscent of the little town called Sausalito near the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, and so the cafe was named, some 14 years ago. Sausalito Cafe opens every day from 9am till late for you to enjoy tasty meals from our extensive menu. Breakfast, lunch or dinner with continuous service all day, dining at Sausalito is a favourite with both locals and cinema patrons. Sausalito is also popular as a bar for those just wanting a relaxing drink or a coffee. Takeaways are available for everything on the menu, including the wood-fired pizzas. Metro Magazine once said of Sausalito: “…every suburb needs a corner bar and cafe like Sausalito….”

Had brunch a few weeks ago (Nov12) at Sausalito with my friend. Despite arriving late for lunch, they came to the party and let us order off the “not available after 3pm” options – including a delish looking thai chicken salad and a really tasty gourmet chicken open sandwich. We enjoyed our meals and the friendly service so much, we’ve booked a function there for Dec12, so hopefully Sausalito you won’t let us down. Looking forward to attending again for a late lunch with 18 others, champagne and chatting hopefully on a sunny day!

Great to sit here and enjoy the urban view, drink the great tea and coffee after a walk around Northcote and under the Harbour Bridge. Just need to mindful of next door’s cinema screening times…..
