Overview

One 2 One Cafe is a great place to visit on a rainy day where you can soak up the atmosphere of this busy little cafe. There is a strong smell of coffee as you enter through the front door, and the sound of the clinking cups over the chatter of polite conversation. One2One Cafe was previously known as the Atomic Cafe. The two fat cats are still around, somewhere. Probably on one of the chairs, lap cruising or in someones guitar case. Millers have been providing the coffee here since 2005 and are holding their own quite nicely thank you very much along Ponsonbys’ well represented cafe strip. The exposed brick walls and the now retired espresso machine on the shelf at the back of the room remind us of time that has passed here. Family friendly with charming covered rear courtyard complete with childrens sandpit and blackboard. Come in for a cuppa sometime and see where the coffee scene started from in Ponsonby Rd over 18 years ago.

Great place to come with kids, has a sandpit out the back and plenty of toys to keep them occupied. Very good food, nice selection of cakes and muffins and excellent coffee.

Only let down is that they permit smoking on some outdoor tables which are near enough to to blow smoke all over the kids sandpit and nearby tables. There were six chain smokers when we visited which ruined it really If they are targeting kids then perhaps it’s time to ban smoking at all tables.

Nice place in Ponsonby. Service is friendly and quality is decent. Took a couple of out of town friends here and we were happy with what we got. Ordered coffee and a couple of snacks including sandwiches. Well topped and baristas knew what they were doing. Previously ordered a breakfast here before and was also nice. No issues would visit again.

Great place to dine with a couple of friends. Service was top notch and the food absolutely spectacular. Food came out rather promptly considering it was quite a busy lunchtime. Ordered a bacon bagel, sweet pancakes and salmon eggs Benedict. When the eggs Benedict came out as a bacon dish it was made priority to insure we got the correct dish asap. Absolutely delicious. Will be returning to try those scrummy meals again and again! Well done One 2 One

Great coffee. Great food. Great atmosphere. Great location. Great staff. Great service. The coffee has always been superb and the food flavoursome. One 2 One Cafe has been a favourite of mine for many, many years. LOVE this place!

i frequently go to this cafe with my friends and family, it is a nice place and very very relaxing.
our main purpose is to go and have a nice coffee and the best meals i would say in Auckland. the quality and standard of the meals is just very high, i always go out to all other cafes but no meal is good as what is offered at 121 cafe………….thanks to the staff and management, we are very happy

Fantastic location for those of us with kids! My toddler loved the sandpit & toys, in the lovely shaded outdoor area. The coffee was delicious, and the blueberry and banana muffin really moist and tasty.
A very relaxing environment, with a real community feel amongst the patrons.

Had coffee with a group of friends here. Coffee was ok, cafe was quirky and interesting. Didn’t like the young waitress who rudely informed one of our group that she was too busy and it wasn’t her job to take orders from the table. Counter staff were more helpful though.

Food has gone downhill — used to be a regular but last three visits have been disappointing. Outdoor area is not well maintained, and tends to be full of smokers even though the outdoor kiddie section is in close proximity.

My husband, son and I went to One 2 One on Sunday 29th August for brunch, we are from East Auckland and very rarely venture into the city to eat breakfast, but thought we’d stray outside of our usual haunts. I’m glad we did, I had the Eggs Benedict with Salmon and I have to say they were the best I had ever the had, the hollandaise sauce was perfect. My son also had very high praise indeed for his Eggs Bene with bacon and he considers himself an eggs bene officiando. My husband had the big breakfast and thought it was awesome. The coffee too was a delight and the staff and surroundings couldn’t be faulted either. We will definitely be coming back!

I am really familiar with Ponsonby and it was a surprise to discover this little oasis right in the heart of it all! Cute backyard, garden, lovely staff and great coffee. Haven’t tried the food yet but will be going back there!

One 2 One Cafe, is comfortable and relaxed, yes.

However the coffee and environment are lacking.

The outside decked area for smoking and sun-gazing, is disgusting. Above hear are cobb-web covered studs, and down below the deck seems filthy, gunky and green.

The bathroom layout also is a joke. One small men’s cupboard for a toilet, and another ‘Wheel Chair Accessible’ toilet, which is once again filthy.

All round I appreciate the theme, however the environment its it, and the standard of it need some serious thinking.
