We have 2 noodle canteens in Whangarei and they couldn’t be more different.

Noodle Canteen in Vine Street is a awesome place to stop in for lunch. I have visited many times and every time I order the same (just cant seem to waver from the best) 1 Hot Box and 12 wontons. You have not tasted better wontons anywhere!! Juicy, succulent morsels they are and the prawn in the middle makes it perfect. The hotbox remains piping hot even after a half hour drive home – YOU GUYS ROCK!!

However the same cannot be said for Noodle Canteen in Tikipunga. I thought I bought Butter Chicken & 12 wontons, however I received chewy rubber chicken in a tomato soup sludge, while the wontons were only fit to feed to the seagulls. Most disappointed with the Tikipunga shop.
