We ordered breakfast this morning from Kick Back. I got the ‘crispy bacon and spinach eggs benedict’. There was no spinach. The bacon was tasty, but not crispy. The muffins were tiny.
My partner ordered waffles. These came out as fruity round pop tarts, and in no way resembled french toast. My partner did not eat much of this meal. We mentioned it to the wait staff, and they just shrugged their shoulders.
2 others in our party ordered scrambled eggs on toast. one got 2 pieces of toast, and the other only got 1.
Coffees were average too.
Would rather drive to Matakana next time

You always worry when there are very limited options in an area and a cafe has a captured market. However this place is busy and fantastic.
Excellent coffee and food in a very light and airy environment. The omelet’s and french toast are both worth a try; followed by a walk along the beach
If they are busy it is worth the wait.
