What a fantastic place definitely considering making this our regular spot for dinner out!!! Great filling dishes at reasonable prices. Love that the pizza has lots of toppings too, value for money!!!! My partner and I shared a small pizza bowl of chips and pasta dish and had to take half the pasta home as we were full. I would recommend making reservations as its a busy restaurant, always a good sign! Customer service was not bad. I really like how it’s a good place to sit down and have a nice yet meal though still casual and a relaxed atmosphere!

Dined with them last night with 6 others. Very poor services from front of house staff. No thanks you’s, smiles, no offer of cracked pepper or Parmesan and when I asked for some fresh cracked pepper, the server pointed to a table saying “it’s over there” Again no smile no eye contact. Negative comments to staff in the back through the serve window. Food was standard … pasta needed sauces and pizzas were Bland. Very disappointing overall considering the positive reviews we had read. As a group we had decided to tip the server from the back who bought us our chips… Full of smiles and pleasantness and apologised for the wait for our chips. Front of house asked her to finish up her shift so I went to the car park to tip her on our tables behalf and thank her for her service. So well done Cassandra for making us feel valued.
It was evident from the amount of LEFT not left over food that the food overall was not enjoyable!
Speaking for my partner and myself we will not dine there again.

Good place to go when you’re craving a creamy pasta but not dressed for a restaurant. They offer great value for money, all of the pastas are a large serving and could be shared by two (except for the lasagna). I wouldn’t rave about it though, the flavours are not of a great quality – for example in the tuna pasta all you can really taste is the tomato, the tuna and black olives only seem to serve as colour and texture; I have to load it with Parmesan to enjoy it. As for the creamy pastas, they are good to start with but are very rich and you feel ill if you eat the whole thing. The pizzas are a bit hit and miss, we have had one that was very bland and another that my partner really enjoyed. Still, Il Capo is certainly worth a visit.

Have eaten lunch here and gotten takeaway pizza in evenings numerous times. Staff are very friendly and the restaurant is very clean. Nice to sit outside in summer. The margherita pizza is definitely my favourite. Lunch time service is very quick.
Update – went there recently for lunch with a friend. The pizza oven had broken down, so we both had pasta. We were both very disappointed. The pasta was overcooked and the sauce was rather tasteless. It reminded me of a cheaper canned sauce from the supermarket. So disappointing! The service was still good though.

Your food will be brought to you of you want anything else expect to get it your self. Really nice place and food just disappointing about the waitresses

Very nice little spot for a quite pizza, the base was a bit too oily for my liking, but overall very good, value for money.
Would recommend

My partner and I went there for dinner after great comments from a workmate, and boy was she right with what she said – generous portions, simple but super tasty made with great ingrediants. We already have our next menu picks sorted for the next time we visit.

Have visited this restaurant quite a few times and have always had such a pleasant dining experience. Both their Pastas and Pizzas are top nosh! have tried a few different pastas/pizzas and have always been impressed. We’ll be back…
Highly Recommended!

Delicious pizzas! My favourite is the Margherita pizza, which has yummy pesto on it. Drizzled with the Tabasco sauces provided, the hot, crispy pizzas are simply divine. My friends and I come here quite often, and will continue to do so!

Great pizzas – full of toppings which are very filling. One large pizza will easily feed 3 people.

Definitely the best pizza in Palmy! And a much better deal than anywhere else around. Always real friendly and reasonable about changing the toppings. And super friendly. AND if you want vegan pizza no problem just ask them. These guys are killing it!

I went there last Saturday with my sister for dinner at 8pm. Restaurant was reasonably full. We were served promptly, meal was delicious (pasta and pizza) and we could take the left overs with us. Dessert was quick and delicious. Only thing that lets it down is its decor, and its tidy but uncomfortable seating. Thoroughly recommend.

Went there for dinner friday night and was very impressed! They were very busy but staff did not turn us away, They looked to see how long tables were free for and found us somewhere to sit, brought us a chilled bottle of water and glasses, and although the whole resturant was full, our meals did not take long at all and came out very hot and fresh. Pizza was delish! If i did have one thing to complain about, it would be there is no rest rooms… Or maybe i just wasn’t looking hard enough.. Either way service and food was spot on and i’ll be back to try one of your pastas

Love this place, have dined here a couple of times now and I have yet to find fault. Everything I’ve had has been superb, my favourite is the seafood Marinara, and their pizza’s is probably the best in New Zealand. Great service too, and cosy atmosphere. Very affordable price’s for top shelf food!

This place is really nice yum pizzas. We go there every weekend. It’s so customer friendly no charge for half and half pizza. Can change any toppings you like. Their tiramisu is great. one big pizza is enough for 2 people. Good place to go and eat . yummmmmmmmmmmmmmm

We visited il Capo today for lunch, and were impressed. Great simple menu, and lovely food. The portions were huge for lunch (we ordered a large pizza and a pasta dish to share amongst three people). Half of it was doggy bagged to take home. All good. Really love the location too. Summerhill “village” has an almost ski resort atmosphere, maybe it’s the views of the mountain,
Will visit il Capo again.
