These guys and gals are the friendliest crew – always out there to serve, great food, great location…
HIGHLY recommended to those who prefer pub sized food and pub atmosphere on the Auckland waterfront!

We really liked our crumbed mushrooms that we ordered to munch on while enjoying beer. The Fox is a fantastic pub if you feel like a bit of a nicely presented sporty/british/stylish-dunedin feel.
Being able to see rugby on one tele, and soccer on another was cool for the boy.
Chipper staff set me up a nice easy bar tab with no fuss. A good place for casual bar munchies and beer.

Had a good lunch here. Food was tasty and while it didnt come out instantly, it was worth the wait. Staff were great. Really friendly and only too happy to talk to you and also get your opinions on the food. The day we went was very fickle with the weather so sat inside where we were cosy and most comfortable while we watched other outside patrons scurrying for cover when the torrential downpours hit. But good to have the choice of outdoor areas for when the weather is more accommodating. Thank you.

We ate at this place now for the third time. Already the second last experience was not too great. The food is very nice and we enjoyed everything we had. For Starters we usually have the bread selection and so far we tried the sports burger, fish’n’ chips, chicken pot and bangers and mash. I must admit the fish’n'chips were nice, but they are just as good as in all the surrounding pubs and restaurants and of course they all call their own the ‘best in the viaduct’. However, the service in both last visits was rather disappointing. The second time we came to eat with a voucher and the waiter at the bar did not understand the value of the voucher and took quite long to put the order through and came to double check the order twice. Last time, 4 days ago, it took just as long to put the order through and although ordering a coke with NO ice, it was full with ice cubes! Also, the most surprising moment was when we received the bread, especially ordered as a Starter, and two seconds later we got our mains. We started with the bread and shuffled the mains to the side and by the time we ate them they had room temperature. Coming from a catering background and experience in hospitality, I cannot understand how this could happen. Thus, the food is good, but the service is rather disappointing.
