Poor service, grubby surroundings.

OK, so you’re in the middle or a demo zone, but do the toilets have to be so shabby? I think not.

Ordered two (brown cup, i.e. medium) coffees + cakes… that took ages to arrive (OK you apologised but you didn’t seem bothered). Delivered a medium and small, told them I had ordered two mediums. They came back and said I’d only paid for a medium and small. Don’t think so at $£21 for two coffees and a couple of cakes! My wife didn’t want me to make a fuss, so I’ll express my dissatisfaction through not going there again.

Excellent breakfasts, have been multiple times, coffee always excellent never over-extracted, eggs benedict always cooked to perfection. Remember this is a coffee house not a 5 star restaurant so consider breakfasts and lunches. If you want filet Mignon please go somewhere else.

Unimpressed, The plate was overloaded which meant by the time I was asked how my meal was I hadn’t tackled the steak, which was ordered “medium” it was blue and to me inedible I reported this to the waitress who didn’t offer a resolution, the only concession being a free $9 pudding for a terrible $34 meal. 4 out of the 4 steaks ordered were not as the people asked for.
Really disappointed.
