19th April 2013-
We used to come here regularly until it changed hands a few years ago.
Today we decided to give it another go.
We arrived at 7.30am on a weekday morning. There were three other tables occupied. One table had finished their meals and the dirty plates remained uncleared until they left about 15 minutes later.
Our coffee arrived after 5 minutes or so. It was good but not great, although it looked very pretty with patterns on the top.
After 45 minutes of waiting for poached eggs on toast we asked for our money back. They refunded the cost of the meals. If they had offered to also refund the cost of the coffee, I would have given them a second chance.
I can’t comment on the quality of the food as we didn’t have any.
There are many other excellent cafes nearby. I won’t be going back to this one.

Came here about 2 weeks ago with my husband, we ordered 1 egg benedict and one smoked chicken salad, the egg Benedict was excellent, the eggs were very excellently cooked (runny, the way I like it) you will have to ask the waiter to know if you want your egg cooked fully, the salad dressing was very good aswell. Highly recommend the cafe

Nice people and good service, not that fast though. Food was not that good, the salmon quiche I had had brown avocado in it (they happily refunded the money), their oversized biscotti nearly broke a tooth. My friend’s salad was small and not as tasty as it could have been. Coffee and lemon ginger was fine but glasses didn’t look the cleanest. A bit of a language barrier with staff made it a bit hard too, but they are trying hard on that front. Still a nice atmosphere and good location-next time I will just have a coffee though!

Disappointing for what looks like a nice cafe. Poached eggs were very vinegary and poor quality hash browns used, thin and not much to them. Service also very poor as our group of 3 on a quiet Sat morning had food served at all different times. 2 of us had finished our breakfasts when the last order of blueberry pancakes (very few blueberries present) arrived. We only went here because Oh So around the corner was closed – wish we hadn’t bothered!
