Overview

The Bluestone Room is located within a character heritage building in Auckland Central. Dating back to the 1850′s, this commercial space has been restored beautifully in keeping with its history. Offering modern craft beer and a gastro pub menu, you’ll find Auckland’s newest Monteiths bar located on Durham Lane off Queen Street in Auckland CBD. The team is proud of our great beer, hearty food and friendly service, which is served in a welcoming and relaxing environment. For special Events, The Bluestone Function Room is located upstairs, away from the busyness of the main bar. It comfortably hold 180 seated, or 350 standing (eg for cocktails). The function room has been designed to cater for a number of function styles including corporate events, award dinners, cocktail parties, weddings, presentations and conferences, and any kind of Themed Event that you can imagine. Where is The Bluestone Room?: Durham Lane West runs off Queen Street, located deep in Auckland’s Central Business District behind the Heritage City Life Hotel.

by Abby 23rd January 2013: The Bluestone Room is a lovely pub… for drinking… There is a nice atmosphere here but it is severly let down by the overpriced food. We went on a Wednesday night for Quiz. There were no real ‘specials’ on for the food so we ordered burgers, we figured at $20 each they would be pretty decent meals. Unfortunately they were just a sad patty with a piece of lettuce and tomato on a boring bun and a tiny handful of chips. Now we know why they do 2 for 1 burgers on Saturday night. Most pubs do a steak sandwhich or something far more substantial for $20. Felt totally ripped off and won’t be going back for the Quiz again.

by Sharon 24th May 2012: Pity more havent written reviews for this place. A lovely little pub (once you find it – go up Durham st west from Queen turn to right just before end of lane a Wilsons carpark on one side and a Tournament opp).
Staff very friendly and attentive. Food was great. Very tasty and FINALLY a Chef who can cook spare ribs Tender and grilled with just the right amount of sauce. Salad and burger also full of flavour. Thanks guys for a great lunch.
by Toni E. 26th February 2012: Great pub grub. The chicken burger, blat, bluestone burger and lamb salad are are tasty and generously sized. It’s all too easy to waste time here:-)
