We have wanted to go here for some time and went for Sunday brunch. First impression, looked ok, but only one other couple there which caught me by surprise as we had heard good things about Bellevue. Breakfast and lunch menus were basic and on the cheaper side. Staff didn’t look too happy, not rude, but not attentive. This is when we should have left! Firstly, a fluffy for our 2 year old arrived without a saucer, spoon or marshmallow, that was too hot for him to drink! We ordered, cheesy bread, 3 small pieces of French stick that felt like they were microwaved then put under a grill. Followed by a big breakfast – bacon, eggs, hash browns, spaghetti, sausages (that didn’t smell too great so didn’t eat) and toast. A chicken burger with fries – very limp, thin burger bun with tasteless salad (definitely didn’t taste fresh), limp lettuce with brown edges, cucumber, tomatoes, red onion and a processed chicken burger patty that was cardboard, like reheated leftovers. Chicken nuggets and fries were fine. No table service from the time our order was taken, and no acknowledgement on leaving. Very disappointed and the worst meal we have ever had!

Was looking for somewhere to have breakfast on Wellington Anniversary weekend. A lot of places were closed and those open were open added a holiday surcharge. Stumbled across Bellevue Gardens and was very glad I did. Sitting outside in their lovely garden, I had the Big Breakfast; two eggs, two bacon, two sausages, two hash brown and about four slices of toast, all for $11.
So for those sick of overpriced and pretentious breakfast places, I can highly recommend Bellevue gardens as a great place for getting back to how breakfasts used to be. Also, no loud music or waitresses ending every sentence with “today”

Went there for breakfast and ordered poached eggs on toast. How hard could that be. When it finally arrived after everybody else at the table had finished their breakfast it was 2 watery eggs with no toast. Worst meal I have ever had.

This place has really gone downhill. Just had the most disappointing meal. On arriving we were seated at a table for 6 (even though there was just two of us) and only two other groups in the restaurant. The waitress didn’t offer us a drink and just said are you ready to order. I asked to see the wine list but they didn’t appear to have one. The menu was very small which I thought was a good sign. Wrong. I had a t-bone steak (medium rare) which was as tough as old leather and dry. The chips were the best thing on the plate (tomato sauce was in a little plastic nip cup) the salad was limp and covered in a heavy dressing. Partner had apple crumble which was terrible. Did not get asked once if our meals were ok. What a pity – I have been here several times over the years and the food and service was always great. I have only given this one star to be able to post this.

Would not recommend for a 21st, Very unorganised, Staff were extremely rude from the start of the night to the end of the night. Was told by phone they would have enough shot glasses to do 21 shots not straight shots mixed shots, When it came to doing the shots was told we wernt allowed to do them and they didn’t have enough glasses. Music only goes to a he-arable level then cuts out. DO NOT HAVE A 21ST HERE! we are extremely disappointed with the hole thing and spent over $5000,00 with this venue

We went here a few weeks ago for a reunion. Wouldn’t have been our first choice. We’ve been here before when the service was truly awful and the food good. The service was much better this time, the food not as good. The dessert was the worst I’ve ever eaten and I’ve had some shockers.
Reading the other reviews perhaps you need to get married here to get the good food with the attached full service. Not really willing to get divorced and remarried to try it out. There’s always renewing our vows, but we’ve been there once and although I love my wife, that was enough.

I was attending a wedding here a few weeks ago. I thought it was the perfect wedding/reception setting. Everything was maintained to a very high standard. The staff were interactive, friendly and fun. Plus the function was still kept private from those uninvited. I only wish I wasn’t in the last table and missed out on the crackling!

We got married in the Bellevue Gardens Establishment. This is a decision that we will never regret. We were married outside in the gardens in front of the water feature. The staff, especially the owner and the Maitre D, were so helpful in the lead up to the wedding, which was fantastic as for most of the lead up we were based in London. They were even more helpful on the day. The food was fantastic and everyone enjoyed it.
Many of our guests stayed at the Bellevue for the duration of the weekend and most had all of their meals there as the food was great and a fantastic price.
The gardens were perfect for a wedding with 80 people, it has fantastic indoor outdoor flow. It was a perfect day and we would highly recommend it to anyone thinking about doing the same thing.

We stayed here for 3 days for a wedding which was held in the gardens and enjoyed the great hospitality and food. Everything was nice a clean and the menu for the wedding was awesome. They also make great omelete’s…the best that I have had. We had a great time and will be back.

Arrived on Friday 11th Feb 2011 for 3 nights to attend my son’s wedding which was Saturday at the Bellevue. We found the rooms VERY tidy & clean. However a bit small, but were adequate for our needs. The venue was really clean & nicely presented. We found the food very good so we had most of our meals there. We found the staff very helpful and polite with a great sense of humour. They couldn’t do enough for us over the 3 day period & meet all our needs. Had a great time and we would stay there again in a heart beat. Wish them well & success for the future — Mel & Kevin

We went to the Bellevue on a public Holiday – family of 6. The place was empty and quiet. We were approached by a lack lustre woman who informed us of the public surcharge. My husband mentioned that there was six of us and that we generally end up with a bill over $150 whenever we dine. Her response was a shrug of the shoulders and a pronounced ‘hmmpf’
My husband found her attitude rude, mentioned McDonalds didnt charge a Holiday surcharge and have far more pleasant staff so he would prefer to eat there. We promptly left, she didnt care.
The surcharge isnt so hard to pay when you have a pleasant atmosphere encouraged by pleasant staff.
Sad really as ‘back in the day’ the Bellevue was a lovely place to go.

A group of 22 of my colleagues and I went to this establishment for our Christmas function, the food and service was basic and 12 of us became ill after eating a particular dish. I don’t think any of us
will eat there again.

We’ve been to this establishment several times and have always found their staff very friendly. We tried their $15 Sunday buffet dinner. It certainly exceeded our expectation – the quality of food on offer was good and value for money.
