by ted 19th October 2012: Well I should just add – that I have been back to visit and after asking nicely, they have very kindly offered to send slices to me via post – so even when I’m far away I’m sorted. Stoked!!
Sometimes its really good when you can just get that bit of extra effort and I know that this would involve them in extra work! Thanks guys for making this bod happy
by ted 8th August 2012: I am an international traveller and must say that each and every time i have visited this superb cafe i have always had the best food and coffee ever. they seem to specialise in thier homemade items which i have not bettered anywhere. always look forward to coming to nelson and the beach. and i thought we were lucky in Tauranga. 10 out of ten and to their great staff too.
by Adam 15th May 2012: Well I live in Nelson and this is the only cafe regularly go to. The food is excellent, the staff are excellent and the atmosphere is excellent. My only issue is that if you go in the middle of the day on a weekend the seagulls can be a bit of a menace but being that its at the beach they do a pretty good job of keeping on top of it
by Debs 13th May 2012: We are back home in England now but can’t wait to return. This cafe was a little treasure we went nearly everyday and can’t wait to return.
Well worth a visit.
We enjoyed everything we ate but the pancakes, they were to die for. The staff were extremely efficient and very friendly. All in all we had excellent food, service and coffee. It can get very busy at the weekend but we will definitely be back.
You must try the slices.
by Davey 9th April 2012: We went to this cafe, looking for a nice relaxed lunch and was in shock when we went to order to find the lady making the coffee’s screaming at her staff, it was awful, we felt terrible listening to her tear shreds off them while the man behind the counter did nothing, especially considering the wait staff were excellent. The food was nice, but we would never return…
